General Questions

  • What is Mill Creek Outfitters?

Mill Creek Outfitters is a campground and outfitter in Combs, Arkansas with cabins, RV sites, UTV rentals, and guided tours. The property sits directly next to the Mill Creek OHV trail system, so you can ride straight from camp into the trails.

  • What makes this place different?

The biggest difference is convenience and local knowledge. You don’t have to trailer anywhere, figure out maps, or guess where to go. You show up, unload, and start riding with access to trails, scenery, and guidance all in one place.

  • Which tour is best for beginners?

Most tours are designed to be approachable for beginners while still being fun for experienced riders. You may encounter rocky sections, hills, or creek crossings, but your guide will lead you through each part. If you can follow directions and enjoy the outdoors, you’ll be able to handle the ride.

  • Where are you located?

We’re located in Combs, Arkansas, about 35 minutes southeast of Fayetteville and right next to the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest trail system.

Planning Your Visit

  • What kind of trip is this best for?

Most guests come for a weekend trip with friends or family. It’s a mix of riding, relaxing, and exploring the Ozarks, not just a quick activity.

  • How long should we stay?

Most stays are 2 to 3 days. That gives you time for at least one full ride day plus time to relax or explore more trails.

  • What should we bring?

Bring outdoor clothing, closed-toe shoes, and anything you want for the day like snacks and drinks. If you’re staying in a cabin, check the listing for what’s included.

Riding & Trails

  • Do I need to trailer my UTV to the trails?

No. You can unload at camp and ride directly into the trail system. That’s one of the biggest reasons people choose to stay here.

  • What are the trails like?

The trails are a mix of forest riding, rocky sections, hills, and creek crossings. They’re adventurous but not extreme, making them a good fit for most riders.

  • What if I don’t know the trail system?

That’s very common. You can either follow recommended routes or book a guided tour to take the guesswork out of it and see the best spots.

Guided Tours & Rentals

  • Do I need experience to ride?

No. Many guests are first-time or beginner riders. We’ll walk you through what you need to know before you head out.

  • What’s the difference between a guided tour and a rental?

A rental gives you the machine and lets you explore on your own. A guided tour gives you a local expert who leads the ride and takes you to the best spots without having to figure it out yourself.

  • Can I bring my own UTV?

Yes. You can ride your own machine and still join a guided tour if you want help navigating the trails.

  • How do I choose what to book?

Think about how much time you want to spend riding and how comfortable you are. Shorter options are great for getting started, while longer rides are better if you want to see more and go deeper into the trails.

Lodging & Campground

  • What types of lodging do you offer?

We offer cabins, RV sites, and tent camping. Everything is set up so you can stay and ride from the same location.

  • Are the cabins and facilities clean?

Yes. Clean cabins, maintained campsites, and well-kept facilities are consistently mentioned by guests as one of the best parts of staying here.

  • Is this a good place for families?

Yes. Many guests come with families or groups. The experience is active and outdoors, but still approachable for a wide range of ages.

What to Expect

  • What will we actually see?

You’ll ride through forest trails with stops at waterfalls, overlooks, and scenic areas. Some of the most popular experiences include waterfall stops and views you wouldn’t find on your own.

  • Are the waterfalls always flowing?

Water levels depend on recent rainfall. After rain, they’re strong and flowing. During drier periods, some may be lighter, but the ride and scenery are still worth it.

  • Is this more about riding or scenery?

It’s both. You’ll get the fun of riding along with scenic stops that give you a reason to get off the machine and take it in.

Booking & Details

  • How far in advance should I book?

Weekends and busy seasons can fill up quickly, especially for tours and rentals. Booking ahead is recommended.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

For most bookings, you’ll receive a full refund or credit if you cancel within 24 hours of booking or at least 48 hours before your reservation.

  • Can you help me plan my trip?

Yes. If you’re not sure what to book or how to plan your stay, reach out. We can help you figure out the best option based on your group and experience level.
