Why Ride With a Guide If You Already Have Your Own Machine?

Most riders don’t realize how much they miss the first time they visit Mill Creek.

The trails connect in ways that aren’t obvious. The best waterfalls aren’t always right off the main route. And the difference between a random loop and a memorable ride usually comes down to local knowledge.

When you ride with us, you get:

A bold black arrow pointing to the right.

Direct routes to waterfalls, overlooks, and scenic stops

A black right-pointing arrow icon against a white background.

No guesswork on trail connections or navigation

A thick black arrow pointing to the right.

A ride that actually flows instead of doubling back

A solid black arrow pointing to the right.

The confidence to focus on the experience, not the map

You’re not just following a guide.

You’re riding the version of Mill Creek most people never find.

What You’ll Experience on the Ride

Every tour is built around real destinations, not just trail miles.

Depending on the route you choose, your ride may include:

A simple black icon showing a vertical stream of water falling from a horizontal line into a pool or basin.

Waterfalls like Frog Bayou Falls, Twin Falls, and 60-Foot Falls

A black-and-white icon showing a sun, a cloud, two trees, a mountain, and wavy water.

Scenic overlooks like Flat Rock and Hanging Rock

Black front-view off-road vehicle icon with large wheels

Hidden spots most riders pass without knowing

A map icon showing a travel route with a pin marker on a black background.

Historic stops like the Oark General Store

These are the moments people remember.

The trails just get you there.

Ride Your Own UTV Tours FAQ

  • Do I need to have my own UTV or ATV?

Yes. This experience is designed for riders who are bringing their own machine. If you need a vehicle, you can book one of our guided tours with a rental instead.

  • Is this still a guided tour?

Yes. Even though you’re riding your own machine, you’ll be following a guide the entire time. The guide leads the route, handles navigation, and takes you to the best locations on the trail system.

  • Why would I book this instead of riding on my own?

Most riders don’t realize how easy it is to miss the best parts of the Mill Creek OHV trail system. A guide helps you reach waterfalls, overlooks, and scenic spots efficiently, without wasting time figuring out routes or doubling back.

  • What will we see on the tour?

Depending on the route, you may visit waterfalls like Frog Bayou Falls, 3-2-1 Falls, or 60-Foot Falls, along with scenic overlooks and lesser-known spots most riders don’t find on their own.

  • How difficult are the trails?

Most routes are manageable for everyday riders, but you can expect some rocky sections, hills, and uneven terrain. Your guide will lead you through everything and choose a route that fits the group’s experience level.

  • How long are the tours?

    We offer multiple options, including:

    • 3 hour scenic rides
    • 5 hour extended rides
    • Full-day experiences (6–7 hours)
    • Custom length rides

Each option is designed to give you a different level of coverage and experience.

  • Can beginners join?

Yes, as long as you’re comfortable operating your own machine. The guide will help you navigate the terrain and keep the pace appropriate for the group.

  • How many people can join a tour?

Tours are designed for single riders or groups. Group rides are limited to 9 UTVs plus the Guide UTV.

  • What should I bring?

    We recommend:

    • Closed-toe shoes
    • Comfortable outdoor clothing
    • Water and snacks
    • Eye protection (goggles or sunglasses)

You may also want a small backpack for personal items.

  • Where do we start the ride?

All rides start at Mill Creek Outfitters. You can unload your machine and ride directly into the trail system from the property, so there’s no need to trailer somewhere else.

  • Can we customize the route?

Yes. For private groups, we can adjust routes based on what you want to see, how long you want to ride, and your experience level.

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

If conditions are unsafe or severe weather impacts the tour, we’ll work with you to reschedule or provide a refund based on the situation.
